CONFERENCE VENUE
The Summer School on Network and Information Security (NIS)
will take place in Hersonissos, Crete, Greece. Hersonissos is a small
town approximately 30km from Heraklion and its airport. For instructions

The venue of the Summer School is Aldemar
Knossos Royal Village. Aldemar Knossos Royal Village hotel
is a magnificent resort located on the north coast of the island of
Crete in Hersonissos. The hotel has 364 rooms and 40 deluxe villas with
all the contemporary amenities such as air-conditioning, direct dial
telephone, safe, refrigerator, color satellite television, furnished
balcony or veranda. Apart from its 13 swimming pools (seawater and/or
fresh water), boutiques, kiosk, internet area, mini-market, hair salon
etc., the facilities include special services for children, like baby
cots, babysitting, multi-lingual animation and mini-club with activities
and programmes. The recreation area offers a mini-golf course, work-out
programmes with fitness instructors, a giant outdoor chess board, large-screen
TV & video room, beach volley facilities, 2 table tennis, evening programmes
and shows by the animation team, open amphitheatre, game room etc.
Rates for NIS-08 participants
Special, low rates are offered to NIS-08 participants:
• Single Room: 114,00 Euros
• Double Room: 142,00 Euros
• Triple Bungalow (with adult): 192,00 Euros
• Triple Bungalow (with child 02-12 years): 142,00 Euros
• Rates are per room, per day, including an American Buffet Breakfast in the Hotel's main restaurant. Vat and Tax are included.
• The dead line for reservations is until 16/08/2008. After 16/08/08 the reservations will be 'on request' basis.
• Please specify that you are attending NIS-08 to receive these rates.
Payment and Cancellation Policy:
You will pay directly at the hotel. Cancellation details as below.
• For all cancellations made by the participants until 16.08.2008 there will be no cancellation fees
• For all cancellations of the reserved rooms made from 17.08.2008 until 31.08.2008 there will be a charge equal to 1 overnight, for the cancelled rooms.
• For all cancellations of the reserved rooms made from 01.09.2008 until 07.09.2008 there will be a charge equal to 2 overnights, for the cancelled rooms.
• For all cancellations of the total reserved rooms made from 08.09.2008 until 13.09.2008 there will be a charge equal to 3 overnights, for the cancelled rooms.
For all cancellations made the arrival day or/and for NON-SHOW guests, there will be a charge equal to the total reserved overnights.
